IN THIS LESSON
START OFF LEARNING FAST!
This is absolutely the harder version of the things you’ve learned so far. It’s like the 180, where you land blind, but this is the first time you’re actually going blind for a split second. Unlike the front 180, you can’t spot the landing for a split second, actually for most of the trick, which is only a split second. This requires going really slow at first. A good note, if you practice the half cab a lot, the back 180 will feel much more natural, it’s the exact same type of rotation, but with the back 180 you’re pushing the tail in a different direction. Go slow, rotate a little at a time, and you’ll see why it feels different. As you learn the rotation, and pick up a bit of speed, you’ll start getting the muscle memory down of how the trick works. I looove back 180s, but when I do back 180 flip tricks down stairs, sometimes I still get a little surprised at how little or over rotated I am. This ones all about practice, no quick hacks.
