I hope I don’t undermine the intimidation factor of your first visit to the skatepark. I know exactly how scary it can be. The first two times I went to the skatepark, I stayed outside, and skated in the parking lot. I also had a bad experience, my local skaters weren’t the nicest people, but that drove me to get as good as I could be. Eventually I was able to skate along with every one else! But now adays, people are WAY nicer. The “cool guy” culture of skateboarding is waning, plus people in general aren’t really intimidated by sponsored skaters. If some one is an asshole, which i highly doubt is going to happen, you’re not the problem, just feel bad for them, lol. I feel like I set this up to expect the negative, you’re gonna have an amazing time! It’s gonna be nerve racking at first but you have absolutely nothing at all to be scared of so get it! Also, the progress you’ll get at a skatepark far exceeds what you can learn in a random parking lot.
