The board’s officially leaving your feet! This is the first step to all flip tricks, learning how to trust the board to leave you, and return back home. Actually there’s no trust required if you just practice diligently. I do think this trick is easier fakie, so if you’re having a bit of trouble, move on ahead, and return later. You can also practice this trick in grass, or softer surfaces, buuut when doing a shuv it, you don’t want too much friction. Obviously the wheels aren’t going to slide across grass, but you can learn what it feels like to leave the board, and return, so I’d still recommend that as a base.
